Am I crazy? Yes I think so! I just joined team in training to help find a cure for blood cancer. Any donations will go towards helping save lives. I need to raise $3,900! I will be taking part in the half marathon in San Francisco! Josh is doing this with me, except he is doing an Olympic triathlon in Washington DC! Together we have to raise $8,000! These two trips will be my first time on an airplane! So excited!

3.1.10 2 year anniversary

we went with our friends nikki and brandon to Helen for 4 nights to celebrate both of our anniversaries. It was so fun and relaxing. we brought oliver with us, and they broght their two pups emma and penelope. we got snowed in on tuesday and it was great! Brandon takes some pretty awesome photos. This is the only one so far that he has sent us!

Back in 2006, I was in my friends music video. NOTE: I have had NO experience acting. This is such a fun memory. The guys are from Louisiana and I dont see them as much as I would like. But just know, they are the friendliest, most awesome group of boys I know. With the exception on my hubs :)

so josh has been begging for a dog for about a month. I just didn't want to have any of the responsibility. I didn't want to take it on walks, feed it, wash it, clean up the poop and pee.
But we went to a few shelters and the flea market and easily my mind was changed and wanted to give one of these pups a home. Ive never owed an animal before, where I am solely the care taker, so I was very nervous. He cried the first night and broke my heart. Slowly he is getting better with the create. I Love taking him out. playing with him, feeding him. washing him. and he is the best cuddlier ever!
I am SOOOO sad because tomorrow is the first day he will be alone for more than 3 hours! Anyway......he is the best!

I just got done reading It's not Ok with me. By Janine Maxwell. She lives in Alpharetta, GA. Probably 10 min from my work!!! I really hope to go to Africa and do service work and talk with the orphans and give them my love. This book broke my Heart. I am so richly blessed, I have no idea.

30,000 children die in Sub-Saharan from hunger/malnutition EACH DAY.
Which means 2.9 children every year.
15 million are left as orphans by AIDS.

Janine is part of an orginization that started here too! Called Heart For Africa. I'm dying to go. I'm sure once I go, my heart will be ripped out and buried in the lands of Africa, along with Janines.

Other news;
Josh graduates in ONE week!!! So proud of him!
We are looking for houses now. It's fun. But really stressful too.
I am going to run my first 5K in Sept. I"m pumped.
Also I'm training for a triathlon next year.
Josh is doing 3 total this year!
I did 2 perms at work yesterday. My fingers still STINK!
EVeryone around me has bellies that are growing big. Kinda creepy.
I dont want kids for a while. Even though sometimes it's tempting!
One of my good friends is moving back and im so excited!!!
OH did i fail to mention....we are taking a trip to Destin in 3 weeks. for a week! Heaven!
I knitted my first baby blanket. It was really silly looking. But she loved it.

Well, ok ground breaking for my little self.

I was working out at the gym, and towards the end of my workout (i was the only one in there which rocked) and so i said "i wonder how long i can run?'

I have this thing against running ever since i broke my ankle and messed up some cartilage in my knee...blah blah blah..

SO i started running on the treadmill and i ran a flipping 13 minute mile!!!!!! and i wasnt even that tired..i could have kept going. but my knees are aching as we speak.....

but i felt amazing and accomplished! this gym thing is addicting. I'm going to have ripped legs if it takes me a million years!!!

So nothing too exciting with the dobecks. I'm sitting in bed watching arrested development. I'm kinda obbsessed with buster for a weird reason. waiting on Josh to return home to come cuddle with me!

These are just a couple reasons why my hubby is right for me....

Getting ready for church this morning we were talking about fasting and Josh said a silly remark. Then I said "Wow, I bet God is like the perfect hairdresser, I wonder what kinda hair he can do." Then Josh said "I wonder what my hair will look like in Heaven." Then I respond with "What if we are all bald." Then Josh said "I hope not, because I like looking at you."

We had to substitute the six year olds in primary today and we had to pick a magnet from the board. One little girl wanted the motorcycle and one little boy wanted the rocket. So josh says "I'm going to pick a number, and whoever gets the closest wins. Ok so I'm picking a number 1 to 2, go!."

He didnt know if the kids could count to 10. How sweet. :)

We have never taught a primary class, and I get extremely uncomfortable speaking, let alone teaching a class. Even a class full of six year olds. So Josh gladly toke over and taught the class about baptism. He did a perfect job, plus...kids LOVE him. Then we played simon says, red light green light, duck duck goose and an attempt at heads up 7up.

I'm grateful to have a hubby who is always willing to try :)

so josh made ZUPPA for dinner on valentines day. It's a cajun meal his dad makes and boy is it good! Shrimp and scallops and pasta and spices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He did a great job, and also he surprised me with a beautiful heart necklace from james avery! here is the set up:

So my little brother is going on a mission to Palmyra, NY! He leaves Friday...it's going to be so werid with him gone. But I'm super excited! This is my mom & dad also!

We have had a busy month. Our lease is up march 1st. Which is our one year! So we are moving in with my parents until josh is out of school in august. It's just one step closer to getting a house...I'm so excited!

Mr. Luke passed away this week. He was in a car accident May of 2008. Since then he has been at the hospital in a coma like state. Him and his wife Carly have only been married a little over 2 years and I cant even imagine what she is going through right now. I've never seen stronger love than she had for Luke in the hospital. And her faith was incredible. Reading her blogs strengthen my faith and my love towards others. Just wanted to ask all of you to please pray for their family, especially Carly. This just breaks my heart, but its a comforting thing to know that Luke is resting now. Away from all of his pains and sorrows.

2 Timothy 4:7-8

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Exciting news. Josh has a full time job with Turner Construction when he gets out of school in August!! Thank the Lord! And that comes with a full time paycheck :) I'm so excited. All those years of college really do pay off.

We finished decorating our place today with Christmas stuff! I'll post some pics. It's so cute. And smells so pineTASTIC!

We also went to Josh's work Christmas party at the Intercontinental. They spent like 6 figures on it. It was so sweet! Probably the sweetest party i'll ever get to go to! woo wooooo

why am i still awake???
i could probably stay up another couple hours but i need to close this laptop and get in my warm bed with that monkey who has taken it over:)

being closed on Sundays and Mondays kinda wack up my sleeping. knowing tomorrow i can sleep in late and go shopping by myself just thrills me to death. so why sleep?

OHHH .... my ultimate FAVORITE band in the whole world is playing this thursday. Vedera. I have been waiting months for them to come again and i'm sooooooo fired up! i could talk about this band forever. they used to be called Veda. The lead gal is beautiful and has the most amazing voice live. (also works the cutest clothes too) i walked down the isle to a part of one of her songs. i can play their cds for weeks and never get weary of it. josh taught me some the beginning of a song on the guitar but lord knows if i can remember it. hopefully their new cd will be availabe to purchase!! AHH!!!

Nothing too exciting. We ate at a new pizza joint called Diesel pizza. Then we went to Publix to get smoothie ingredients. While at the check out lane the lady mumbled something towards me. I go "excuse me?" Then she goes on to tell me how much I look like Paris Hilton, and she thought that I was dressing up for her since it was Halloween. I kinda just laughed it off because that wasn't someone who I would like to be compared to. hahaha.

We didnt get any tick or treater's. Which I figured.

Josh and I are voting tomorrow. I'm excited- I'm gonna be a first timer :)

Today was a good one.

This morning we went to the temple. It was Josh's first time and my first time in a LONG time. The whole day I felt so firm in everything that I am doing and everything that I am believing in. I am so thankful for a merciful and loving Savior.

I also have started a few new hobbies. I've been biking for several months now. It's such a great workout and I live really close to a super fun park. Josh is taking it pretty seriously and started training for triathlons. AND I just started knitting.......i know. It sounds grannyish and it looks grannyish. But its a lot of fun. I have already made one scarf. Hopefully soon I'll be making blankets.

My nights are restless. For some reason right when we get ready to go to bed to sleeep....I get super excited and squirmy and hyper. Don't know why...don't know how. So I just lay there for 30 min to an hour. Wishing I could be snoozing like my man beside me. Pray I can sleep!

So I am a nursery leader at church. And I so love it. All those little ones are so precious and so funny. Everyone keeps telling me that it makes a good birth control...but it just makes me more eager...bahhaha.

ANDDDDDDDDDDDDD we are getting a kitten! I'll post pics soon. He is the cutest little ball of orange fur i've ever seen!!!!!! EEEE!!!!

Daddy and I went to the river and had a cute little picnic on the dock. We were celebrating our 6 month anniversary and also it was last Sept. 1st that he proposed to me too! :)

We decided to feed some ducks. Then flocks and flocks flew to our little party. So we had a big scene. it was so funny. Then we went to the new AMC and saw Tropic Thunder. It was pretty funny. Another good one is What Happens in Vegas. We have been watching it a millions times. It comes on this free movie channel we get like two times a day.
